I'm willing to volunteer to be a 'public relations manager' if anyone wants to allow me to help out.
You guys know I'm fairly passionate about this type of stuff. The wiki/ModDB page/other stuff is outdated and that just reinforces the idea of how DEAD the community seems to be, despite how awesome 88 Flak is.
My issues with creating a new character were possibly mirrored by other potentials. I saw a few threads where people were asking simple questions and pretty much being inundated with questions in return rather than a simple interactive response to find their needs and fulfill them. Thus they were 'scared off' because it was 'too complicated'. Sound familiar?

In order to sorta 'prove myself', I'll submit some of the following info:
-Look through my post history, many of the ideas that I've had in 'Suggestions' have encouraged others in the community and spurred responses and action (at least some of the time). This shows I have some sort of charisma/leadership ability or at least the ability to persuade others, crucial for a public relations manager.
-Fox turned me into a bot, with two different loadouts! :) So you can try me out in-game and see how badass I am =D
-I'll post the 'newbie guide' tomorrow and hopefully it can be stickied, and I'm willing to edit the wiki a bit to tidy it up if possible.
-I'm really technically-inclined but I also know how to 'simplify' the technicalities to break it down step by step so even newbies can get in-game fairly easily.
-I know my way a bit around BBCode and HTML, and I can learn pretty quickly, so that I can update the websites a bit as needed.
-I've got a bit of time to spare, moreso than others.

What I'll need
-Read/Write access to the ModDB page to finally update it.
-Read/Write access to 88 Flak wiki (not needed immediately but just 'soon')
-Read/Write access to code some nice HTML for these pages:

-People willing to post in a few forums that I'll mention here later, creating forum accounts in various gaming-related forums and actually participating in them (like one post a day), but promoting 88 Flak via their signature (which isn't against any forum's rules from what I've read). I can do a lot for publicity but if any of you care about 88Flak you can volunteer to help me with this simple task.

-Escapist Magazine, a gaming-related magazine site: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/
(The mods there are ULTRA-strict so don't even so much as swear or put down *anybody* or you'll find yourself banned in a heartbeat. Don't even disagree with anyone, just stay silent and smile/nod/agree a lot. Supposedly its to keep out 'trolls' but read through the forums and you'll see what I mean.)

-GameSpot Forums: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/index.html

Those are the two forums I'm familiar with (and already have accounts with) but I'll look through more communities as I get a feel for them. I'm trying to avoid just 'spamming' and would rather just have our signature links do the talking for us while we participate in their communities.

This is also a request, but it wouldn't hurt to also participate/post here as well, get some discussions going, some RP, anything to help the forum seem more alive even if its just two people going back and forth in a thread, then that's something. The more the merrier!

Seems like we got our 88flak reviver :D

Give him access to those sites. He really seems to know what to do and how to get people in 88flak. Little updating wouldnt hurt, dont you agree?

Everybody already has read/write access to the wiki.

As you can see, i have added the flmoddir = 88 Flak V127 RC135 line.

If not to add this line:
- after running the mod update will create EXE Folder inside Freelancer Mod Manager\mods
- Freelancer Mod Manager will give you error after each start about EXE folder
- If you want to deactivate 88 Flak mod and activate for changing 88 Flak Properties you need to activate and update 88 Flak mod again
- If you want to deactivate 88 Flak mod and activate other mod then you need to activate and update 88 Flak mod again

For players who keeps mods as full freelancers games inside different folders ofcourse it is not a problem, but for newbies...
